I enjoyed the stay and will come back. The building is old, as many in Italy are, and the bathroom tiles look like they're from another decade, but everything was intact. The beds and mattresses are no more than a year old, the air conditioning works, and there's a pool with loungers beside it if you want one. The lake is just about 5 mts from the porch, and every room has a balcony and lake view. ❤️

The waitress had been nice on the days before, but the waiter/owner was very unfriendly and clearly not customer-oriented. After we had a few drinks with friends at the restaurant and rented boards next door, we were told quite rudely and harshly not to use the parking spaces, even though the hotel and bar were completely empty. I don't understand why someone like that would own a hotel or work in hospitality.

The serving staff were friendly, but the owners were gruff, rude, and unfriendly. We felt like a nuisance just by being there. They even shouted at a guest and slammed the table because the guest sat at the wrong table, although there were no signs showing where people could sit. No one was available if you needed another pillow or information. The family-run hotel is dated, the food is basic, and lots of things are broken. There were metal cot beds and torn bedding, among other problems. It felt like a mix of Faulty Towers and the Marigold Hotel, only worse. If you stay here, you'll need a sense of humour to laugh off how unbelievable it is.
