Villaggio Torre Sant'Irene

The coastline was really nice. We rented a boat without a skipper, and it was our first time getting to be the captain.

The pool was clean every day, with maintenance visible each morning, and the rooms were well kept with punctual, efficient housekeeping. The property is beautiful and well maintained in peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was a weak point. The products were poor, especially the croissants, which seemed plastic, with no taste or fragrance. Table service was often inattentive and disorganized. Arturo, the maître d', was a bright spot: friendly, helpful, attentive, and always neatly dressed in a fresh uniform each day. The entertainment felt uninspiring and was sparse through the day, though head entertainer Michele was approachable and kept trying to make guests smile. Lunch and dinner were buffet style and decent overall, with enough variety to suit different tastes, but nothing outstanding. I had a fair stay with some good points and some things that need attention. The resort has potential, but several areas need improvement to make the experience fully satisfying.

The sea right by the beach is spectacular, with loads of fish to spot. Bring rock shoes, they’re really useful, and Costa degli Dei is well worth the trip. The resort itself is beautiful, with clear water and a lovely pool. There are steps to get around, but you get used to them. I’d avoid climbing them in the early afternoon, though, since you might start feeling unwell. We had a really enjoyable week, and the place is suitable for families too. The rooms were cleaned every day and the grounds were well looked after. The entertainment was the highlight for us: the staff were warm, friendly, and always around, so we had lots of fun and good company. My kids were super happy. The food was good apart from a few disappointing dishes, but the restaurant could use better management and more attention. Breakfast didn’t vary and there wasn’t much to choose from. I’d recommend it if you want a relaxing week without high expectations. I’ll definitely come back.

We stayed June 8 to 15, 2025, after booking through Villaggio Mania, which I obviously wouldn’t recommend. The room was so poorly kept that there were ants even in the beds, and cleanliness in general needs a lot of work. The rooms and facilities need updating, too. There’s no shuttle to the beach, and the walking route has more than 100 unsafe steps. The entertainment program needs a rethink, though the team does what it can. The restaurant has no restrooms, and the food is average at best, with the same raw ingredients being reused all the time. The waiters were polite and friendly and did their best. At reception, though, staff were absent and very unfriendly. Good luck!
