Large private parking and a good breakfast were definite pluses. The front desk and management were friendly, and the rooms were spacious enough, clean, and well fitted, though the hotel feels a bit dated. It's an unpretentious four-star hotel in an industrial area. I stayed during the week and didn't hear any factory noise. The centre is a short drive or walk away. My one gripe was the pillows, all of them felt like rocks.

The restaurant dishes were tasty and well prepared, and breakfast was especially good. Rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. A high-standard hotel I'd recommend for a business trip or a personal stay.

If you just need a bed where you can sweat, maybe this is for you. For a vacation and an easy base for seeing Brindisi, look elsewhere. The location is extremely inconvenient: you have to drive into town and fight for parking, or walk 2-3km to downtown. The staff did try to help, and maintenance showed me where the hot water came out of the faucet, so service had one positive. The hot water spot was random and hard to find. The building is mediocre at best. The air conditioning setting doesn't matter, the room stays at 25C. We had to buy a fan to get air moving, and there are no ceiling fans. Opening the windows lets in mosquitoes. My so-called King room was two twin beds of different heights shoved together, an absolute joke. Wifi kept disconnecting after five minutes. Breakfast had cold cuts, cold hard boiled eggs, cold fried eggs, cold scrambled eggs, and cold slimy bacon, plus lots of cakes and pastries. If you're not Italian, you just get ignored when you want coffee or espresso. The air conditioning still didn't work, the beds weren't a King, and everything else made for a bad stay. Edited to add that they did help me find the odd faucet spot for hot water.

The best part was breakfast, outstanding by Italian breakfast standards, with fresh eggs, pancakes, fruit, and croissants. The hotel has large, pretty, decorated and clean premises, plus plenty of free parking. My premium double room was a little old and dated, but clean and maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The gym equipment worked and was enough for a casual weights or cardio workout. The setting was a problem. It's beside a noisy factory or power plant, and the windows don't insulate well. We adapted, but the noise also spoils the view. It might suit workers nearby better than couples looking for a quiet break. In our room the toilet leaked really badly, and staff never fixed it after we told them. We had to shut off the main cold water valve each time to stop it. All the large shower towels smelled really bad, like beauty oil had been sprayed on them, even after we asked for replacements. We ended up using extra small towels, which didn't smell. The air conditioning was broken from day one. Reception only told us that when we asked, and it wasn't fixed until our last day, after six days. For a four-star hotel, these problems aren't acceptable.
