TOI Apartments

This is an excellent apartment at a reasonable price, within walking distance of the port and Brindisi's historic buildings. We highly recommend it. One small excursion worth considering is the ferry across the harbour: there's not much to see on the other side, but the 14 minute round trip costs Eur 1.20 and is probably worth doing. The apartment is modern and appears to have been fully renovated recently. It has three fairly spacious rooms: a large bedroom, a combined bathroom and laundry, and a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The patio is large, but gets full sun during the day with no shade over the small table and two chairs, so it's more useful for evening meals. Better daytime facilities would make good use of its potential. The bathroom and laundry work well. There's no dryer, but the large clothes airer and hot patio dry things nicely. The bedroom has lots of wardrobe space and a slightly hard mattress. After a long trip, though, you'll probably sleep like a log. The kitchen has a full range of utilities, a large fridge and a separate freezer. There's no microwave, but the gas stove and oven work very well. No dishwasher, so expect to wash up by hand. There's a small dining table with four chairs and a reasonably comfortable lounge. The TV has a full range of streaming services, but you'll need your own subscriptions. The furniture is tasteful and modern, and there's air conditioning and central heating for winter. The main disappointment is the gap between the quality of the renovation and the kitchen utensils provided. There's no toaster or kettle, so hot water has to be poured from a metal-handled pan, with a risk of scalding yourself. A coffee-pod machine is there, but it doesn't work well as a water heater for someone who likes hot tea. There are no sharp cutting knives or tin opener, and the cutlery is campsite quality. A few extra euros on kitchen supplies would have finished off a highly desirable apartment.
