Glam Luxury Rome

I told reception I'd be checking out at 5 AM and asked if someone would be there to help. Nobody was available, and the elevator had stopped working, so I had to haul three large suitcases down five floors. The receptionist had insisted to my face that the elevator was working. The building has just one antique elevator, with room for no more than three people. I can't imagine how elderly guests would manage in that situation. Be cautious about choosing this place. We stayed in November, 2023.

This was my first time in Rome and in Italy, and I loved the hotel. The staff were so welcoming and even upgraded my room for free. The location is amazing, with everything around you. My room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I highly recommend it.

We were really disappointed with how this booking went. We booked through a third party after seeing the photos and prices for a very nice hotel two buildings away. The listing led us to a similarly named hotel with no website, and we didn't realize we'd booked a completely different place. It cost the same high price, but we got a tiny, hot, noisy room with none of the luxuries you'd expect at that rate. We knew something was wrong as soon as we walked in. When we asked to cancel the next 4 nights and get a refund, they just said no. We made a mistake, and they took advantage of us. There are five different “hotels” in the same building, all checking in at one reception desk. It seemed clear they were imitating nicer nearby hotels. When you search online, the websites you find are for the nicer places with similar names. These hotels don't have websites of their own. We found it almost comical to see five points of sale at one desk. We ended up finding a lovely 4 star hotel nearby for less money and spent the rest of our time in Rome there.

They held our luggage at reception after checkout, which was useful, and the price was good for a place about a 15-minute walk from most central spots. But the air conditioning made the stay hard. It seemed to run on a timer we couldn't override, shutting off around 3 a.m. each night and refusing to turn back on. The room got so hot we couldn't sleep. I was told maintenance would look into it, but nobody followed up, even after I messaged again when it happened. I’d probably avoid booking again because of that.
