La Casa della Nonna

The apartment was spacious and very clean, and the outdoor terrace was lovely, all worth five stars. The only little issue was that the B&B had no visible signs. The very kind owner sorted that out with precise directions.

A nice little B&B with a welcoming family atmosphere. The owner was very friendly, and the grounds are spacious and well kept. For the low price, breakfast was perfectly adequate. The room has no air conditioning, and the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Its mattress is so thin you can feel the metal mesh underneath. The balcony door wasn't safe to leave open at night because it's shared with the neighboring rooms and strangers could easily walk in. The busy road nearby was also noisy, with every car audible even when the windows were shut.

We spent three nights here, and the owners were discreet. The house was clean and had a homey, family feel. Its shared kitchen was spacious and well equipped, with plenty of supplies for cooking. The garden had a pool, hot tub, sofas, loungers, shower, fireplace, two dining areas including one under a gazebo, speakers, charging outlets, and good lighting at night. There's also a volleyball net, but the ground is so dry and full of holes that playing is nearly impossible. The busy road on the right makes some rooms noisy, while a railway runs along the left, with the occasional train passing. They ask guests to let them know if they want to sleep with the windows open. We were also first given a room with a ceiling fan even though we'd booked air conditioning. We were hot at night, and the fan can be bothersome if you're not used to one. Breakfast was mediocre and not very generous: brioche, bread with jam and butter, juice, cappuccino or coffee, toast, and a few slices of cake. There's a very sweet dog, though sometimes a bit intrusive. The doors were left open, so he came into the kitchen and followed us inside when we arrived. Even with those issues, the family atmosphere was lovely.

We stayed for two nights with our one- and four-year-old children. The room was rustic and cosy, beautifully renovated, and comfortable and cool thanks to air conditioning in every room, the kitchen, and the living room. The friendly owner was available for anything we needed. At breakfast she made coffee, milk, or cappuccino, and she left drinks in the kitchen fridge for us. We'd gladly return.
