Apartment Edelweiss

I never actually stayed at the property, so I can’t comment on the accommodation itself. Pets were explicitly allowed for an extra charge, which I was happy to pay. Less than half an hour after I booked and said I’d be bringing my two dogs, the owner contacted me. Once she learned they were medium-large, she quickly told me, without much formality, to cancel the reservation. So despite the stated terms, people wanting to travel with their dogs may find they’re unwelcome. You’ll have to decide whether to leave at least one behind or book somewhere else.

The ski bus stop is nearby, and the place was very clean.

There’s a bus stop right outside, so it’s easy to get around without a car. We’ve stayed here for more than 10 years and know the old house well. The landlady has always been friendly and helpful. In the new house, there’s more room and everything feels more practical, with a large garage downstairs, a handy ski room, and an elevator serving every floor. If you don’t feel comfortable here, you won’t anywhere.

The only small snag for us was the rather basic kitchen equipment. We weren’t planning to eat out every night, so we could have used a few more comforts in the kitchen. If you’re in the same situation, bring a few essentials from home. Otherwise, we had a wonderful week skiing at our dream resort, Kronplatz, in South Tyrol. Our apartment in the Edelweiss apartment complex was modern, the owners were welcoming, and the location worked well for all sorts of activities.
