The farm setting comes with a few things to keep in mind. There’s a strong, unpleasant smell, lots of flies that are hard to tolerate, and the cows start mooing around 5 a.m. By 7 a.m. there may also be tractors and other farm noise. Mosquito nets on the windows, which would cost only a few euros, could easily help with the flies. The house is in Italy, but in a sovereign region that feels practically like Austria in every way. The rooms and bathroom are spacious and clean, the beds are excellent, and the shower has strong water pressure. The owner is nice and helpful, the view is breathtaking, and there’s plenty of parking. It’s quiet and away from major roads, with hiking areas within a reasonable distance. The kitchen is acceptably equipped. The main drawback inside is that there’s no microwave.

The apartment was very nice and clean, and the host was great. Pets are allowed. I recommend it.

We spent a week in the largest apartment, four of us together. It was well kept, clean, and had plenty of space. There are even games in the garden for the little ones. The owner is kind and helpful, and we’ll definitely come back.
