The owner welcomed us by asking, “first things first, have you eaten?” That tells you a lot about how generous and kind he is. We first came in 2023 to try the farm’s organic wine and olive oil, and on every trip back to Italy since, we’ve stayed here or visited Guido to say hello and bring home more of his impeccable oil and wine. On our first visit, Guido arranged a free tasting and made us feel so welcome in his beautiful place. He even dressed up in a suit for it, and shared a lot about the work involved in making everything. The apartment was very clean, the beds super comfortable, and the one we stayed in had a fully equipped kitchen if you need it. It’s peaceful too, we didn’t even realize there were people in the other apartments. The location works perfectly for visiting Tuscany. Il Sol Verde has our hearts for life.

Guido takes great care of his guests, and he’s a kind-hearted person. He makes the wine and olive oil himself, offers every guest a free tasting of both, and has lots of interesting things to tell. There’s a wonderful garden, lovely houses and a pool with great views. Many places are easy to reach from here. It’s a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany, and I can warmly recommend it. Many greetings from Germany.

The owners were very friendly, and it’s a lovely place to stay. Being fairly close to Siena and Florence makes it a good base for trips around Tuscany.
