The natural setting is beautiful, and the hospitality staff were very friendly. The ocean and beach are the only good things here, though, and they have little to do with the hotel itself. It's a rundown, old-fashioned place with a lot that needs fixing. There isn't much choice at meals, and the food definitely isn't local. Wednesday, between the 13th and 20th of September.

At least the beach is nice, but that's about it. In the seven days since we arrived, nobody has cleaned our room; they only replace the towels. The garden is neglected, with most of the plants looking dead. The kitchen staff don't seem to know how to cook, and be careful with the boiled eggs at breakfast because quite a few aren't safe to eat. Breakfast is supposed to start at 7:00 am, but at that time the staff barely do anything to get the food ready.

We liked it enough to return for a second year running. It's dated and could use more attention to detail, but the price and location made it easier to overlook the rough edges. Update after four days: the food has been excellent this year, a notable improvement since September 2023.
