Valtur Baia Dei Pini

We especially appreciated the Valtur entertainment team, who kept guests involved with lots of activities and games. Thanks in particular to Kevin, Morena, Maddalena, Pietro, Giuseppe, Letizia, and Joshua. Tommaso, the assistant, was so kind and well organized, both at the resort and during travel. The rest of the staff were attentive to guests, and the dining room team were friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely, surrounded by greenery, with several pools and roomy, practical spaces decorated in Sardinian style. The resort is very close to Budoni and has direct access to the sea. There was plenty of good-quality food, too.

The sea was lovely and safe for children, and the lifeguards did a great job. I did find the beach a little small for a resort this size. If you have a car, there are plenty of other options nearby, including La Cinta, Isuledda, and Cala Brandinchi. We arrived Monday, June 3rd, and a friendly, professional young woman welcomed us. The lobby has the reception, a well-run bar, and the restaurant entrance. You can see the pool from there, with the sea and beach about 300 meters beyond. The resort itself is beautiful, laid out as a cluster of separate buildings that feel like little villages. Our ground-floor room with a balcony was nice and very clean. There were a few minor issues, but since it was the start of the season, they were always fixed promptly. The entertainers were friendly without being intrusive. The food was a bit better over the last two days, and I hope that level is the usual standard. Beautiful place. I'll be back.

After the mistral, the sea was covered in seaweed. The place feels very dated, and you'll need to get up at 7:00 if you want a spot on the beach. The entertainment was okay, but the theater seats were uncomfortable.

The only real bright spot was the Valtur team, all the young people there. Valtur might want to reconsider having its name attached to this village, because the place gives it a bad image. There was very little in the way of services, and even the all-white evening aperitif was a mess. We just got back from a week here, and it was a vacation we'd rather forget. The beach isn't equipped, the loungers are packed practically on top of one another, and there are no showers, changing cabins, or toilets. The first two umbrella rows cost extra, leaving just 120 umbrellas for a village with 268 rooms. The property itself isn't well kept. Lunch is served only between 1 and 2 pm, so picture around 800 people all trying to eat in that short window. The food was very limited and always the same. They were serving Mortadella. There's plenty more I could say, but I'll stop here.
