Agriturismo San Floreano

Our reservation didn't help us when we arrived: nobody let us in, and our calls went unanswered. We had to find somewhere else to stay.

Friendly hosts, and a simple, clean place to stay :)

When our car broke down on the way to Sutrio, we ended up at Agriturismo San Floreano in a real bind. Even with the unexpected arrival and the time of day, they welcomed us with unusual kindness. The owner found us a room at the last minute and helped us locate a capable, reliable mechanic. We felt looked after during a difficult moment, rather than treated like passing customers. It's an authentic place run by people who know how to welcome guests. We're very grateful for their help. Highly recommended.

The owner was kind and friendly, but I wouldn't come back. Although I had requested dinner through a travel website, we couldn't get it that evening, while apparently some guests do have better luck. The other big problem was the noise: the hosts watched very loud TV until midnight, probably right above our room, and a nearby industrial area and continuously running factory added a steady background racket. Our ground-floor room was in the owner's house, with its own entrance from the courtyard and horses grazing around it. Inside, it was clean and simply furnished. The bed was comfortable and large, though a little short for me. Breakfast meant homemade cakes and preserves, all sweet; we usually eat differently, but it was fine.
