The train station is right across the street, so getting to Genoa is easy and costs just 3.60 euros return. It takes about 20 minutes, then it's a five-minute walk from the station to the centre, much cheaper than parking there. Busalla itself has lots of little shops: a bakery for focaccia, pastry shops with amaretti, a pasta shop, fruit and veg, groceries, meat, cheese, wine, and places to eat. The hotel is family-run, clean and quiet, with an elevator and free parking out front. There's also a cute coffee shop and a stylish-looking restaurant serving simple but good Italian dinners. We paid 110 euros for one night for two, including dinner, wine, coffee and breakfast. Such a nice little town.

The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and the food and wine were good. Breakfast had a rather limited choice, though. It's a small hotel on the outskirts of Genova. The rooms are simple and don't have air conditioning, and the Wi-Fi is OK. There isn't enough parking right outside, but there's a large lot about 100 metres away.

The reception and breakfast bar service were quick, friendly and impeccable. The rooms are clean and quiet, fairly basic, while the ground-floor furnishings give the place plenty of charm and history. The bar and restaurant are unfortunately closed now, apparently due to recent events. Genoa isn't too far away, and the price and easy parking are good points, though highway traffic can make travel times very unpredictable.
