Case Colomba

The pool area felt like paradise, and the breakfast was heavenly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful accommodation in the idyllic Sicilian countryside. The rooms were very clean, and I’d highly recommend it.

The rooms are simple but tidy, and the owner was very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade jam, honey, yoghurt, and more.

The property is quiet and tucked away, a lovely place to slow down and get away from everyday life. It also works well as a base for western Sicily, with sights, beaches and charming towns within easy reach by rental car, which you really need. We had a wonderful stay at Baglio Case Colomba. The house was very clean, with an authentic style and thoughtful details that gave the rooms a special, homey feel. Mauro, the gardener, deserves a special mention. He keeps the grounds beautifully landscaped and was incredibly warm and helpful. The pool was cleaned every day, and the water was checked regularly, so it was always clean. We also loved the animal companions. Giovanni the cat popped by in the mornings and evenings, while Filippa the dog was a sweet, loyal companion who even looked out for us on evening walks. Neither of them was ever intrusive or bothersome. They were simply around, keeping an eye on things, which made the place feel even more welcoming. A lovely place to relax and unwind.

The pool was a gathering spot for all of us, adults and children alike, day and night. We had it at our complete disposal, and the six children used it often to swim while we cooled off. There was also an outdoor barbecue, which we were happy to use. My wife, our two children and I spent 10 days here, from August 13th to 22nd, with four other families. We had a great time, as did most of the group. The property has five rooms, each with a private bathroom. They’re spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the place is one of the airiest and most comfortable we’ve stayed in. Valeria, the owner, was kind and professional from our first contact, and always available when we needed something. Gardener Mauro was also prompt and helpful, including with garbage collection and the daily outdoor cleaning. The well-known places in the area, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala, Erice, San Vito lo Capo and Trapani, are about half an hour away. A very positive stay that I’d recommend to anyone looking for some peace and relaxation. Thank you.
