Centro Turistico Gardesano

We had plenty of tasty food to choose from, and I didn't see any bugs. The room was tidy, the maids cleaned it every day, and the towels were clean. It also had a balcony, mirror, hairdryer, and safe. I wasn't sure whether the water was drinkable, so we filled our bottles in the room where breakfast and dinner were served. The closest restaurant is a 15-minute walk, and the nearest shop is about half an hour away on foot. The pool was nice, though swimming was only allowed from 10 am to 7 pm.

The people working at the bar were the only ones who seemed to care about guests. I found the hotel manager unpleasant. He wouldn't let people use the pool at night, and when people stayed in past the allowed hours, he poured dangerous chemicals into the water to scare them out. At night he'd walk around with a big, bright flashlight and shine it in the eyes of anyone out after a certain time. I was alone, relaxing on my room's balcony, when he shone it at my face and told me I had to go inside for the night, as if I shouldn't be allowed on my own balcony. I had some choice words for him. Our sheets were never changed, they just made the bed with the same dirty ones. We asked for a king-size bed and they put three small mattresses together. The rooms were overpriced, and there was very little variety in the food.

I was confused by all the bad reviews as a student, so here's what I found. The pool was too dirty for swimming, though it was still a nice place to relax. My room was somewhat clean, but the shower had mold and the bathroom needed more attention. No bed bugs, and the towels were clean. The outlets worked and the signal was fine. The food was pretty nice, although some dishes had lip stains. The staff at meals were friendly, but after my friend lost their room card, they had to wait 45 minutes for a new one. The hotel was okay, just don't expect anything fancy. Hope this helps!

The staff were really kind and friendly, and parking was no problem. The pool was clean with enough spots, and the basic breakfast was decent, especially the good-quality coffee. There's nice nature around, and the location is handy, about 15 km from Gardaland and 17 km from Verona. Our room was old but clean, with fresh, good-quality basics like towels and bed linen. We were never in the room anyway, so the broken balcony door lock and old walls didn't spoil our stay 🙂. For the service level, the price felt fair. I don't understand why the review score is so low.
