It’s such a cozy, comfortable place, and the hosts have really thought of everything. The rooms are sweetly furnished, too.

The staff were friendly and gave us good suggestions for places to eat in Licata, but that was one of the few positives for us. We stayed in August 2021 after reading the description and reviews, and came away disappointed. Although it’s presented as being near Licata, the B&B is out in the countryside, 11 km from the town center. The surrounding fields are greenhouses, so the view isn’t very attractive, and there are no useful services nearby. A bar and tobacconist, and the closest restaurant, are about a seven-minute walk away, but the staff advised us against that restaurant. Walking along the state road without sidewalks didn’t feel safe, so we had to use the car for everything. We’d chosen the place for the beach, which is 100 meters away. The path there runs beside an open sewer drain that seems to end by the shore, and the smell reached our accommodation. The sight put us off swimming. The sea was murky even around 900 meters away, there’s a swimming ban about 600 meters from the property, and the beach was strewn with plastic and cigarette ends. I wouldn’t choose this B&B for beach access. Breakfast was another letdown: little variety, poor quality, industrial snacks, two frozen croissants and nothing savory. There was no kettle in our room, and we couldn’t use a coffee maker ourselves. The coffee was made an hour or two earlier and kept warm in a thermos. To get it hot, we’d have needed to come down by 9:30, which wasn’t workable for us on vacation.

The owners made us feel like family, and we spent time chatting with them over coffee during our stay. Their care and attention to detail made our short visit feel special. The rooms are elegant and welcoming, and the B&B was spotless. In our view, it’s the best place we’ve ever stayed. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and we’d gladly use it as a reference point for future trips. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed and wouldn’t recommend the property. I booked after reading positive reviews. The location turned out to be inconvenient, surrounded by greenhouse fields that spoil the view. The beach is close, but getting to it means passing a sewage drain with a foul smell that I could also notice inside. I don’t know what happens with the drain, but it put me off swimming. The water was murky, and the beach had plastic and cigarette butts scattered around. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t pick this B&B just for the beach. You need a car for services or errands. The only bar-restaurant is about seven minutes away, but walking there means using a highway without sidewalks. Breakfast ended at 9:30, too early for me on vacation. I asked to come later and was allowed, but the coffee was held in a thermos. I’d rather have had a kettle in the room or a way to make coffee myself so it was hot. The woman running the place offered to make it again; I appreciated that, but declined because I didn’t want to waste it. I suggested they manage breakfast better. This is a B&B, not a hotel, and I think hot espresso should be available regardless of when guests get up. The rest was industrial snacks and a frozen croissant, so it was limited and low quality. I didn’t mind skipping it. The room description mentioned an umbrella and a high chair, but I never found either. Maybe early-rising guests had taken them, so that service could be managed better too.
