Aquae Sinis Albergo Diffuso

We stayed in the main building, which didn't have a pool or spa. The accommodation is spread across different spots in the village, but getting around by bike was no problem. There was a very good, pleasant restaurant on the roof, one of the best fine dining meals we had during our 12 days in Sardegne.

The rooms had lovely high ceilings, and the wifi and A/C both worked well. The hotel is spread across four buildings that aren't very close together. The pool was smaller than the pictures suggested, and the chlorine smell was strong. There was also an older woman sunbathing topless by the pool, which didn't seem appropriate for a small hotel pool. Apart from that, it was a decent stay.

Aquae sinis is spread across four small houses, with a cozy design that pays attention to detail. I liked both the indoor pool and spa and the outdoor pool area. Torre Grande is very close, with lovely beaches, a harbour, and beach bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and well organised, and the rooftop bar is very cute.

The hotel is cute, well maintained, and has decent amenities. For the area, it's probably one of the best places to stay. Although it's technically a 4 star hotel, I'd set expectations closer to 3 stars: it's rather basic. Our main problem was the air conditioning, which didn't work. The room never got below 27C (80F). Reception told us to keep the room dark all day and leave the A/C running. We did, but it made no difference, and they couldn't provide a fan when we asked. Given the other options in the area, we'd probably stay again, but be aware of these limitations.
