A View on Cagliari

It was easy to explore Cagliari and the surrounding area from this B&B, thanks to its central location and the parking right in front of the building. We stayed in the "blue" room on the 8th floor, with a great view and a balcony. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Laura was incredibly kind and helpful, and gave us lots of information about the city. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade croissants.

One thing that made me decide to reduce my original 3-star review to one star was being told we had to check out at 10am on a Sunday. Breakfast also only ran from 8 to 9, and I didn't return for it on our second morning. The coffee was cold, though our host microwaved it for me. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, so if you arrive late and are sensitive to them, bring insect killer. The balcony felt industrial, and we never sat out there, though it might be useful if you smoke. The complex is on the 8th floor of a tall building, quite far from the centre. The host was helpful and polite, and the room was clean. The shower head was broken. There was an English-language note saying not to flush toilet paper and to use the bidet and bin for tissues. From around 6am, there was significant noise from above us. A friendly cafe downstairs had fresh pastries and good coffee. Update: I saw the response below. The host was clearly unhappy about being criticised, and named my wife and me in her reply, which I believe may be against GDPR rules. She made it clear that if I removed my critical comments, she would delete our names. I'm happy to leave them here. Decide for yourself whether you'd want to stay.

When I'm next in Cagliari, I'll definitely stay at 'A View on Cagliari' again. This affordable, clean, well-managed B&B is right in the heart of the city, with easy access to the old part and elsewhere. The owner and manager is a kind, diligent woman who takes her work seriously and does her best to accommodate guests. She's resourceful and highly educated, and gave me all the information I needed about Cagliari and Sardinia. Ali

Laura was extremely caring and attentive, and the breakfast was very good. We stayed for a few nights at the beginning of December 2023. The location was super convenient, with parking and the city center about a 15-minute walk away. We recommend it.
