RomAntica Vatican Suites

This place is nothing like the description. They called it a suite hotel, but it’s a two or three bedroom apartment shared with strangers. There’s no security and nobody to talk to at night, and the room doors are easy to open if someone wants to get in. Please be more specific in the listing. I stayed only two hours while I booked somewhere else because I couldn’t sleep there. A waste of money and time, so please avoid it.

I got no rest and spent the night worried about my health. As someone with allergies, I started sneezing and coughing nonstop just minutes after going into the room. There was dust everywhere, the floors didn’t look cleaned, the whole building was dirty, and the rooms felt stuffy. The smell of dirt was indescribable, and the lack of hygiene made me feel like I could catch something. Calling the stay disappointing doesn’t cover it. It was a nightmare. Dirty people.

After an evening walk, we couldn’t get the front door open. It was 11:00 PM, our belongings were inside, and we were stuck outside with nobody able to help. We went back and forth with the apartment owner for a long time, but still got no solution, so we had to book another place for the night. Be aware that no one will sort out your problem if you book here. The room and common area smelled bad and were dirty and unsanitary. It looked like the room had never been cleaned, and the bed had just been made up after the previous guests. We contacted support as soon as we checked in. A few hours later, a man came and tried to clean, but it was barely an attempt. I ended up asking for a mop, gloves, and a rag and cleaning the room myself because the filth was unbearable. So you might get a clean room at check-in, cleaned by me. 😂 And somehow things got worse.

What a freaking mess. A terrible experience!
