We booked Hesa House Cagliari for September 28-30, 2025, but work meant we couldn’t use the accommodation. Several days ahead, we contacted the property politely to ask about changing the dates and got no reply. Just before the stay, the host contacted us about check-in and asked us to cancel ourselves, paying a fee, so he could rebook the room and give us credit for a future stay. We agreed in good faith. We understand the host didn’t have to accept a date change, but once we followed his suggestion and paid to cancel based on a promise of credit, we expected him to keep his word. Afterward, we tried reaching him several times on WhatsApp, by email, and through Booking.com. We got brief replies such as “today I am off” and “on Monday I’ll let you know,” then nothing further. Eventually I was blocked on WhatsApp, and my wife was threatened with legal action if we kept following up. We have screenshots. The communication and customer service were extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Promises to reply or give updates weren’t kept. In 42 years, I’ve never felt compelled to leave a one-star review, but I feel I should warn other potential guests about this unreliable and discourteous host.

The easy, clear access system made the place straightforward to use, and Alice was always kind, professional, and ready to help with information. The property is on Via Ponchielli, well placed near the city center but away from the city bustle. Our room was bright and spacious, with spotless, modern new furnishings. The bathroom was comfortable, and the sink was in a separate anteroom. We’ll be back.

It’s in a residential area outside the city center, and check-in was simple and contactless. For the price, the setup is good, with two double beds instead of the usual sofa bed. Cleanliness was okay, though there were a few dust bunnies under the bed.

Plenty of space, clean and welcoming, with everything very well organized.

The rooms are spacious and clean, but I wouldn’t call them very welcoming. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work.
