Hotel Aristeo

The price felt moderate for the city and this location. Set in the old town near the harbor, the hotel has stylish, clean rooms with a beautiful harbor view. Breakfast was outstanding, and the service felt first-rate, with the restaurant's professionalism matched by the hotel's warm hospitality. It's a very high-quality place. I'd choose it again when I return to Cagliari.

We paid €1400 for a Junior Suite with a view at Aristeo Cagliari, hoping for a relaxing stay and a nice outlook. The room we got faced an old wall, nothing like the listing suggested. When we raised it, one staff member said we could move at 10:30 the next morning. Later, another receptionist said that couldn't happen because the hotel was full. A kind receptionist who spoke Spanish then offered us a Sunday move, but that room was a downgrade: smaller, no view, just a balcony. It wasn't what we had paid for. Breakfast was disappointing for the price, very basic and repetitive. They even charged €3 for orange juice. We couldn't wait for the stay to be over. We don't recommend the hotel, and the experience put us off returning to Cagliari.

The port view from our room was the first thing we loved, and waking up to it each morning felt magical. Everything was close by, too. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished, and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up. Staff were welcoming, warm, and always ready to help, which made us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. There was also a great gelateria downstairs, with some of the best ice cream we've had. We loved staying here and would happily return. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious and good value, and both it and the bathroom were spotless and well kept. Breakfast had plenty of options and was fantastic, beyond what we expected. Staff were especially welcoming. When we arrived, they took time to explain how best to explore Cagliari, which made our trip more enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel.
