Il Villino

A handy place to stay before an early flight, with nice rooms and sound staff.

Staying at "Il Villino" in Cagliari was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, beautiful and well kept, and the little outdoor courtyard made it feel special. The welcome was warm and thoughtful, with all the details I needed about the room and breakfast explained at check-in. I also really enjoyed breakfast at the cafe next to the B&B, the food was delicious. Being close to the airport made the trip much easier, and they clearly went out of their way to make my stay memorable. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting a welcoming, well-maintained place in Cagliari.

We'd booked five nights but left after just two. The staff were kind and helpful, which was the one good thing. The room was ugly and full of mosquitoes. There's no elevator, so getting a suitcase upstairs is really hard without help. Breakfast is at the bar across the street or next door, and what you get depends on luck: maybe a cappuccino and croissant, or just a piece of toast. Nothing more. There was also an air freshener by the entrance that was nauseating.

The Nespresso machine was a nice touch, and there was free street parking 🙃🙂. The room itself was pleasant, but so dark: two small, high windows faced the neighbor's terrace, and we could hardly get any daylight. During our stay, the shower only ran lukewarm. Breakfast at Mama bar across the street was a disaster.
