San Giorgio

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little hotel, though it definitely didn't feel like a four star place. The heat was the main problem. We visited in June, when it was very hot outside, and the rooms' air conditioning wasn't powerful. There wasn't any air conditioning in the hallways either.

The spa is the only reason I'd give this place two stars. The two receptionists were friendly and good, but that's about the full extent of the positives. The air conditioning was old, made a crazy amount of noise, and so did something in the bathroom. As a big man, I couldn't get XXL bathroom clothes. I asked three times and was told each time there'd be no problem, but got size XL every time. That's disappointing. Breakfast staff were professional and kind to Italian guests, but spoke only Italian and a little English. The breakfast was basic, with nothing interesting for tourists used to breakfasts in other countries. The bacon and scrambled eggs were poorly prepared, and the ham smelled bad after 9 o'clock. Only the prosciutto was okay. I'm a 53-year-old head chef who's worked in four and five star hotels around the world, so I know what I'm talking about. The room cleaning staff need more training too. They knocked once and then immediately opened the door, which was rude. Sorry, but I won't be back. My advice is to replace the head manager right away and pay good money for a professional. The spa was a nice way to end our last night in Italy. At check-in, though, we had to ask about everything ourselves, including the spa and breakfast. The staff were professional, but not especially warm. The place seemed new and was exceptionally clean and nice. Breakfast was simple but good, and there was plenty of it. All in all, we had a good experience 😊

We had the best time here. The hotel is a beautiful, luxurious place in central Fiuggi, reachable by car or public transport. We started off at Heaven SPA, which really felt like heaven. The team was friendly and knew their stuff. Paola gave me two massages, magia dei sensi and pulizia del viso, and I loved them. Tania did my last massage, linfodrenatico, and I went home relaxed and happy. There are saunas, a thermal bath, waterfalls in the pool, and plenty of other rooms to enjoy. After relaxing, we had dinner, and Gianfranco served us. In my opinion, he's one of the best waiters here. Thanks for everything, guys!
