The owner was kind and helpful. The cottage has lots of useful things for the kitchen and bathroom, plus breakfast supplies like coffee, milk, juice, butter, sweets, paper towels, and oil. There are utensils for grilling meat or other food in the fireplace. Kindling to get the fire started is provided, but you have to bring your own wood. In warmer weather, I would have rated the place five stars. We stayed one night yesterday, and the house was so cold that the radiators couldn't heat it properly. We were lucky to have the fireplace, even though it often blew smoke into the room, and at least we could warm ourselves by it. The bedroom was also quite cold, but fortunately there were two blankets in the wardrobe. The sheets were freezing, and the radiators had been turned on before we arrived, which didn't solve the problem. It made the stay unpleasant. I only carefully read the many reviews now and noticed that several people mention how cold the house is in winter. That's why my rating is three stars.
