I have every reason to suspect this hotel is run by the mafia. In just 10 minutes, they took the entire room payment from me, and a weapon was used during the negotiation. Look closely at the Google reviews from the past year or two, they are all negative. Do not stay here! This is what happened. On September 4th at 20:05, I booked a four-star hotel in Sardinia, Italy, on Booking.com for 166 euros. At 20:09, I told the hotel I would arrive at 21:20. They refused my check-in, saying guests could only check in before 21:00. I offered to arrive at 21:10 and asked them to wait 10 minutes, but they still wouldn't let me in. Because the Booking.com reservation was non-cancellable, I tried to arrange a full refund with the hotel on WhatsApp. They agreed to process it and told me to contact Booking.com. I called Booking.com twice, but was told the hotel had refused to issue a refund. At noon the next day, we went to the hotel entrance to try for a partial refund. Without any discussion, the manager drove us away with a weapon (see picture below). We called the police, but he told them we had trespassed on his property. We had paid for a night's stay and were only standing near the door. And we go to the police office to notice all He wanted to take my 166 euros, going so far as to threaten us with violence. There's a key box next to the hotel where keys could be left, but they don't want to repair it so guests can check in easily. They are deliberately making check-in difficult, probably to save on cleaning costs. By then I felt this was more than a simple dispute about a hotel payment. I have every reason to suspect this is a mafia-run hotel that uses force against guests who question its conduct. They then hypocritically reply to every negative review by saying it isn't their fault. This is a despicable person. They're making dirty money, and it will take them to hell.

I ended up booking a room at a "normal hotel," Best Western, where I finally stayed. I'll never stay at snob luxury suite again, and I wouldn't recommend this "hotel" even to my enemy. I booked while transferring at the airport in Rome through hotels.com. Nothing during the booking process said check-in after 9pm wasn't possible, even though they wrote "reception open until 9pm". My flight was due to land at 9.40pm, so, under their late check-in policy, I asked to arrive late and offered the extra payment of 30EUR. They replied that it was an option only "if possible" from the hotel's side. I then called Expedia (hotels.com) to cancel and get my money back. They contacted the hotel about 40minutes after I had booked, at around 6pm, but the hotel said it would not refund me. I'd say this isn't a hotel, it's a mafia taking your money for nothing. They hide the information during booking, and once you've paid, if your flight means you'll arrive later, forget your money. I wrote the name in small letters on purpose, because I have ANY respect for this way of "earning" money.

I had to arrange another place to stay and still haven't got my money back. The owners took my payment without contacting me about how to get into the room. I messaged after paying to ask about check-in, but got no reply, even though the confirmation clearly said to get in touch before arrival. This doesn't seem like a serious place.

The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had a sauna, with great style and a great location. But the shower head was broken, so we had to hold it, there was no toilet paper, and breakfast wasn't provided, despite being advertised on their website.
