Tannerhof Bed & Breakfast

The landlady was pleasant and welcoming, and took the time to help and explain whenever we had a question. It’s a charming hotel, and we’ll return on our next visit to the area.

The Tannerhof garden sits in peaceful greenery, with the soothing sound of a stream flowing beside it. Our hostess’s kindness and smile were with us throughout our three days in Trentino. It’s an experience to remember and repeat. Highly recommended!

It’s a simple, charming B&B with just six rooms, all on the first floor, so there are two flights of stairs to consider if you have mobility issues. The rooms are modest but very spacious, and everything is super clean. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, with delicious homemade cakes, and Wi-Fi is available. It’s easy to reach and 5 km from Merano. The price is very competitive at €72 for a double room, which makes it a place I highly recommend. I can’t give it five stars, though: the room has carpet, which I find unacceptable for a B&B in South Tyrol. The bathroom also lacks a bidet, something unfortunately common in other properties in this area.

Tannerhof is a relaxing, welcoming place, and the owner is very kind. It’s only minutes from Tirolo and Merano, with mountain trails nearby for hiking. They sell home-grown products too, so you can take some of the flavors and aromas of these incredible places home with you. Recommended!
