La Camendra is spectacular, with local ingredients and cuisine, and meals are served there from breakfast through dinner. We especially liked the dinner options: a four-course local set menu, or a fixed price for choosing 3, 5, or 7 courses from a good range. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully plated. Fine dining at its best. The lawn pool and bar are lovely for a cocktail or a glass of the hotel’s own wineyard wine, and the large, comfortable rooms have a delicate mix of luxury and comfort. The surroundings and carefully maintained outdoor areas are spectacular too. We came for a weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a wonderful place for it. Mehdi served us both evenings and deserves a special mention. He made us feel welcome and at home, and knew every course and wine on that long, impressive wine list. If you want a hidden gem in a beautiful landscape with spectacular food and wine, just go. Two thumbs up from us. It’s also a short trip to lots of lovely places, including Neive, Alba, and Barbaresco.

We had a wonderful welcome with spumante in the lovely lounge, and the suite was charming, with a big balcony. The staff were helpful, and Donner was fantastic. We were there for just one night, so we paired the wine tasting with dinner. For the quality and care, 50 euro for the 3 course meal felt very fair. Breakfast was tasty, though there was no buffet due to covid. We ordered scrambled eggs, which were wow, plus salumi and cheese, since we don’t like the sheet Italian breakfast. My only drawback was that just one drink was free. We love a great espresso, and often have more than one in the morning, usually without food. I’d like to come back in summer and enjoy the fantastic pool too.

Among our most relaxing hotel stays ever, and we should have booked more nights. The hotel is extremely well run and hospitable, with the true flavor of Piemonte. Our room and the poolside both had excellent views, and the vineyard setting was excellent too. The staff were excellent. Thanks to everyone for a first class experience.

After four nights at Residenza San Vito, I’m already ready to return. The room was stunning, and lounging by the pool with views over the vineyards was beautiful. The fresh air was so calming and restful. The staff are amazing, friendly, and helpful, and they remember the little details. We only had to give them our breakfast order once, and every day after that they got it just right. I’ll definitely be back for another visit soon.

Angelo knows the region inside out and will suggest and book restaurants. He’s also wonderfully warm and attentive to every detail. The grounds are beautifully kept among vineyards and hazelnut groves. This delightful hidden gem has 7 clean, well-appointed rooms, with comfortable beds, flat screen televisions, gorgeous antiques, and sleek, modern bathrooms. There are large salt water pools, complimentary pool side service, and breakfast. A most beautiful place.
