Ansitz Strengherrnhof

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the location was convenient for getting to Bolzano. The owner was kind and helpful.

The breakfast was nicely presented, but that was the only good part for us. We'd booked two double rooms with a bathroom, yet each of us got a room with a shared bathroom and still paid the double-room rate. The rooms felt coldly furnished, one didn't even have the advertised TV, and nothing had been renovated as claimed. There was mold in the shower and the toilet was very wobbly. It was also noisy at night. I slipped on the carpet in our room, got badly hurt, and needed hospitalization, so we had to leave early. Please be careful, especially if an elderly person might slip there. The hostess didn't take our concerns seriously. The accommodation made for a very unpleasant stay.

We aren't related to Baron von Wohlgemuth, but Mrs. Sinn made us feel at home right away. She welcomed us so warmly and handled every request with great care. Her hospitality is hard to match. We really appreciated her tips for places to eat, hiking, and other things, and the breakfast was prepared with exceptional care. Thank you, Mrs. Sinn, for a wonderful stay, even with the occasional bad weather.

Our room was warm and clean, and it was a lovely surprise to have it serviced every day. There was no balcony in the room, but we could use one in the hallway to look at the mountains, and we could see them from our window too. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with lots of fruit and yogurt. The place is close to Bolzano and makes it easy to get to spots like Solda, where the views are beautiful and there's plenty of snow.
