Hotel Jagdhof

We got our money’s worth, and I’d consider coming back. The location was good, the owners were very friendly, and the front office staff and breakfast manager were great. There’s an elevator and parking too. The room was nice, though its style sat somewhere between modern and traditional. The amenities were sufficient, but I would have liked AC, even though I understand how hard it can be to add it to a historic building. Breakfast had a good selection, just not a couple of my favorites. It was good, but not extensive. The terrace restaurant was the main letdown. Service was slow and less helpful than we’d hoped, and even though the posted Saturday closing time was 11pm, they wouldn’t serve us another round of drinks at 10:30. It was hard to get anyone’s attention after our first order. We could easily have spent $40 more each visit if someone had checked in. I enjoyed our stay, but those issues are why I rate it 3 stars.

The hotel is right in the city center, with lots of shops within walking distance, and the staff were really friendly, especially in the dining area. They had regional wines in the minibar for EUR 15, and the room had air conditioning. I’d love to stay again!

We spent three nights here with my cousin and his wife for his 60th birthday. They felt spoiled and happy, and my husband and I had a really lovely time too. We stayed in the Selina Room on the top floor, with a wonderful view of the apple and wine growing all around. It’s a beautiful little town with great views and nice people. It’s lovely to walk around, and the people working here put in a lot of effort to keep everything running smoothly. Danke!

The rooms were beautiful, the food outstanding, and the service among the kindest I’ve had. Excellent hotel!
