We found it really cozy, and we'll definitely come back. The setting is very quiet, right among the vineyards.

We had a lovely week here. There are lots of things to do nearby, especially beautiful hikes, and the lake is a highlight. Its private beach and jetty are great for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding, with plenty of both available. Our apartment had a terrace and air conditioning. It was well equipped and very clean, and we felt comfortable there. The hostess was friendly and easy to reach whenever we had questions. The bread delivery service was excellent too.

The private lake access is a real highlight. The garden is beautifully kept, with loungers, chairs and tables, changing facilities, a toilet, and free stand-up paddleboards. There's no lake view from the garden, but that didn't bother us. We also slept very well, thanks to the good soundproofing. Our spacious, peaceful apartment, No. 5, looked out over Lake Kaltern and Leuchtenburg Castle. Morning sun came onto the balcony while we had breakfast, and electric blinds kept the rooms cool and dark. The apartment had what we needed for cooking, including a freezer compartment, and there were dishwasher tablets and toilet paper. Towels and dish towels could be changed on request. The landlord was incredibly kind, and the bread delivery service was great. The bus stop is right outside. With the South Tyrol Pass included, we didn't need the car all week. We'd love to return!

Apartment number 1 was newly renovated and had everything we needed, but we really didn't like staying there. It's a north-facing basement apartment, and the terrace on the floor plan, shown as a little green oasis, is actually part of the courtyard or driveway. Lots of hikers and cyclists pass by, and they can see right over the wall onto it. We had to leave early because of an emergency, and unfortunately nobody offered compensation. The complex itself is lovely, with six fairly new, well-maintained holiday apartments and a private bathing jetty with plenty of sun loungers.
