It's a great base for exploring the beautiful emelia romagna region. I come to this hostel every year, and Eva and Enea always give a warm welcome. The food is excellent, and the beds are comfortable.

The owners are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The hostel is new and well maintained, though renovations are underway right now. In a few months it should be perfect for pilgrims. Small places like this are growing along the Francigena route toward Piacenza, and Calendasco is an easy stop after taking the legendary Danilo's Po ferry.
