My room was quiet and comfortable, and I slept really well. The owner was helpful, kind, friendly, supportive, and flexible, with plenty of resources. The property is right in the center, with a beautiful view over the city and valley, especially from the second-floor rooms. The historic building has lots of potential, and the breakfast room in its lovely hall could be bright and shiny again with some renovation.

The B&B is in Caltagirone’s historic center, in a building full of history, and it was lovely to be welcomed and hosted there over Christmas. The owner was extremely helpful. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable, with excellent value for money. There was a deep, spacious closet that helped stop our clothes getting too wrinkled. The bed with wooden slats was comfortable, and the heating kept us warm despite the cold weather. We woke to real church bells, a natural, unrecorded sound. The balcony flowerpots were neglected, which was a shame with such a wonderful view.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautifully renovated palace with a special charm. The host was very kind and accommodating, gave us helpful recommendations, and adjusted breakfast to our preferences. Breakfast was included and made fresh by the host each day. The homemade jams and artisanal cakes were the best part. Our room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, a huge bathroom, air conditioning, and two balconies looking onto the church. The location is ideal in Caltagirone, right in the tourist area, so there are no hills to climb. It’s only five minutes from the famous steps, with free parking just outside. It’s a great base for seeing the town, its pottery shops, and the main sights on the east side of the island. I’d definitely come back.

We spent the Easter holidays at Gualtiero's, and found it a great base for exploring the city and taking trips around the area. Gualtiero was reliable, and deserves credit for that.
