We booked a quadruple room 20 days ahead, but on arrival found a modestly sized double made up with a ridiculous bunk bed. It didn’t even match the quadruple room shown in the Booking.com photos. The space was cramped, the WiFi and sockets didn’t work, and the refrigerator was unplugged. When we raised that, the staff responded arrogantly or jokingly, saying the fridge wasn’t used in winter. They then pointed out that the room had no mold or broken walls, as if that were a bonus instead of the bare minimum. We were given another double room to make up for it, but its bathroom walls had obvious cracks. That first night was one of the worst of my life, and I’ve slept in hovels. The beds felt like stone, with ridiculous lumps or dips in the mattresses that kept me awake. The next night, guests in the room beside us stayed up late laughing, making noise, and constantly dragging chairs across the floor. I don’t see much value in the quadruple certification for the first room. Anyone can put four beds and a bathroom in a room, even if there’s no space to move around, but apparently only people willing to sell themselves for a few bucks bother to do it. The only things that earned the one star were being close to the center and the cleaning staff’s courtesy, although there was an old receipt under the mattress and dust on the floor. I wouldn’t recommend this at all unless they paid you to stay, and even then I’d want to be able to sleep at night.
