We had a really nice holiday 😁 The room was clean and pleasant, and the bed was big and comfortable. Just keep in mind that a room without a balcony has nowhere to hang wet swimwear and towels. The women on staff were lovely and friendly, though the owner seemed grumpy. We left early on our last day, and they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us.

This is a family-run guesthouse with very kind owners, and the beach is close by. The town also has a lovely promenade that connects to other towns.

For a budget stay, I'd definitely recommend it. There aren't many facilities, as you'd expect from a 3* hotel, but this is one of the best 3* places I've stayed in. Everything was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. The wooded garden has a lovely relaxed feel, perfect for sitting with a drink or two. I was ill and temporarily half blind, and most of the people here showed very little empathy. On my second day I injured my eye and had to go to the emergency room; it was bandaged, and I could only see with half my vision. Then, in the middle of the night just before checkout, I vomited and developed a fever. As a young solo traveller who doesn't speak Italian, it was already a difficult situation. The next morning I explained what had happened and asked to pay for another night because I was too weak to move. They said there was no room, even though I could still book one on their website. I suspected they simply didn't want the hassle of a sick guest. They also pointed out the 10:30am checkout time in a hurry, without helping me find another hotel or offering any other support. I felt pushed out. I asked if they could bring breakfast to my room so I wouldn't risk infecting other guests in the dining room. They brought only tea, no food. That wasn't a huge problem, so I went downstairs in a mask to get breakfast myself. While I was picking it up, a woman I suspect was the female owner came over and again told me there was no room and I had to leave by 10:30am. She didn't say anything kind about my visibly bandaged eye, vomiting, or fever. It seemed she just wanted me gone, and she was plainly unkind. She seemed to care only about running the business, because a late checkout would inconvenience the cleaning staff. I felt no hospitality from her. I can't believe she hurried someone who was temporarily half blind and sick to pack up and leave. It was practically impossible, but she didn't seem to understand. The male owner was kind, though, and his son showed me incredible kindness. After the eye injury, he drove me to the hospital and helped however he could, including speaking with the medical staff for me because I don't speak Italian. I'm very grateful to him, but I can't say the same about the others here. I wish there were more empathy and kindness in this part of the country toward people who don't speak Italian, who seemed to be treated differently.
