Hotel Rialto Suisse

The best hotel.

That sea view was the one thing we liked. The rest of our stay with a tour group from October 22nd to 26th, 2025 was awful, and we wouldn't recommend this place. The room was cold and dirty, with bloodstains on the wall, filthy old blankets, and worn mattresses with some metal springs showing. The balcony doors rattled, stuck, wouldn't close properly or lock, and let in drafts. Even the stairwell banisters felt incredibly sticky. The bathroom was the worst part. Broken tiles and sink, a loose toilet roll holder, open shelves, and a fixed shower head that sprayed water everywhere. The shower tray had two curtains hanging in the middle, like something from the 60s. For a supposed 3-star hotel, that's unacceptable. The room itself had old green tiles, two wooden rocking chairs, and a bed that wasn't great. Finding room 314 was a whole ordeal. The lift was scratched up, seemed not to have been cleaned in months, held only four people, stopped at the third floor even though rooms were on the fourth, and took forever to come back. From the third floor, we had to find our way along a zigzag corridor, under a staircase, and past a curtained storage closet before reaching the room. At check-in, the receptionist was already very unfriendly when we picked up the keys. Breakfast was quite limited: ham and cheese slices, three jams, cookies, small rolls and white bread, with no tea unless you asked for some random blend. Dinner came with just three salads, green, tomato and grated carrot. This was one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in.

The room was unclean, and there was hair left in the rundown shower from the previous guest. Breakfast was very sparse, just one kind of sausage, cheese, bread and a croissant, with no fruit or vegetables. The woman at reception was very unfriendly. We travelled with THV Reisen, and they should look for another hotel for this trip. It seems they mainly take coach tour guests, so renovating the hotel probably isn't worth the effort. Definitely not recommended.

The staff were really friendly, and it's easy to get to the sea and a large sandy beach. The hotel itself has some wear, and parts of the walls need renovating, but the balcony view and location make up for that.
