The rooms were noisy, with sounds from the hallway and neighboring rooms carrying easily, and the decor feels dated. The hotel also faces a busy highway, which the official photos didn’t make clear. Breakfast is very basic. The staff are friendly, but weren’t much help with problems or local advice. Getting around without a car is difficult because public transport is limited. To reach the main bus stop, you have to cross an empty lot, go through a sketchy underpass, and pass an area where truck drivers and prostitutes often gather. I left disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want a restful visit or don’t have a car.

Parking was great, but the rest of the experience didn’t come close to a 4-star hotel. The website calls it “a high level hotel,” which didn’t match what I found. The pool was closed, and there was no notice on the website or when I booked on the day we arrived. Google reviews suggest I’m not the first person to encounter this. The bathroom had mold everywhere. Even after it was cleaned, about half was still visible, and the room didn’t feel hygienic. It was noisy too. Breakfast was a mess: suppliers walked straight through the dining area, two TVs were playing loudly, and there was no atmosphere. A staff member came over within five minutes of us sitting down. Even basic items weren’t handled well, with milk not kept cold and yogurt sitting on ice packs. This felt like 3 stars at best, not 4. I’ve stayed in hotels around the world, and this one definitely isn’t a 4-star place.

The so-called 4-star rating doesn’t fit this hotel. Breakfast was very limited, nothing tasted fresh, there was no toaster, and the coffee machine didn’t work properly. At the bar, the bartender served drinks, then watched movies on his computer with the volume so loud that everyone could hear. People ended up leaving. The sauna was out of order, though the hotel advertises its sauna and wellness facilities. That can happen, but guests should be told in advance. When I asked about public transport to Milaan or Bergamo, the man at reception said there was only a taxi. I checked for myself and found a bus stop about 200m from the hotel. It was also hard to talk with him because his English wasn’t clear. The room furniture and floors were clean, but there were dust webs on the ceiling above our bed and in the corners. I asked reception to have them cleaned in the morning, and they were still there when we returned that evening. The pillows were so thin I could barely feel one beneath me, though we did get a second after asking. The sheets were thin too, there was no proper down blanket, and on the second day I found a large stain on my bottom sheet. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. They should be ashamed to offer this under a “4 stars” label.

The hotel is in a great spot close to the highway. My room was clean, and breakfast was well served.
