Locanda DellIstrice

Getting there is quite difficult, but the view makes it worth it. There’s a beautiful fortress just above. What a lovely place!

The owners were kind, helpful, and friendly, and their research and hard work really show in the recovered furnishings and materials. The inn has been restored with great care, and its history comes through in its origins and setting at the foot of Rocca D'Ajello. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and breakfast comes with homemade bread and pastries. It’s a secluded, relaxing spot; the dirt road up takes a little effort, though it’s in good condition. The quality for the price is excellent.

We booked through a Smartbox that covered the room but not breakfast, and the hosts kindly gave us breakfast anyway. The homemade bread was delicious. The rooms were just right for the place, rustic, warm, and clean. It’s a real peaceful retreat surrounded by greenery, perfect for getting away from the city and reconnecting. Mr. Diego and his stories were a delight to hear. We hope to return soon! Ambra and Simone

It’s a wonderful place, quiet and with a special view. Our room was clean and well cared for, and breakfast made at home was delicious. The owners were very kind and even told us the best way to get there.
