B&B Hotel Milano Central Station

The location worked really well for us, with plenty of food nearby and easy transit access. Centrale FS is within walking distance. There’s another B&B hotel directly across from the station, though, and we initially mistook that one for the Centrale hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Service was great too. One thing that worried us was an uncovered vent in the room. We also couldn’t control the temperature, so it got hot and humid at times. On our last night, there was an odd smell in the bathroom. Even with those issues, it was a good room for a short stay.

The staff were welcoming, and we had a comfortable stay for a good Milan price. It’s a decent three-star hotel. The rooms are simple, but clean and warm. Getting to the station, metro and trams on foot was easy, and breakfast was good for what we paid.

The bathroom was the serious problem here. There was visible mold in the shower, including black residue on the hose and walls. It was unpleasant and left me worried about hygiene and health. The hotel’s location was acceptable and the service adequate, but the bathroom condition fell well short of what I’d expect from a well-rated hotel. I’d think twice about staying until the bathrooms are properly cleaned and renovated.

The location near the central station was the one clear plus, with shops and restaurants close by. The rest of our stay was very poor, and this didn’t feel like a three-star hotel. Our room was noisy and not clean enough, and its bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly. The shower door also leaked every time, leaving water all over the floor. The bathroom lighting was absurd. A motion sensor outside the shower controlled it, so the lights went off while we were showering. We had to wave a hand out of the shower every couple of minutes to get the light back. The key card didn’t control the power either, so it was useless. Housekeeping missed our room one night. Staff gave a weak explanation that we needed to put a sign on the doorknob, even though other rooms were being cleaned when we left early that morning. Breakfast was average at best. The scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. For the price they charge, it really wasn’t worth it.
