Sublimis Boutique Hotel Camogli - Adults Only

The rooms are great and have a view, and the location is perfect. Service was outstanding the whole time, thanks to a really great staff. We’ll definitely return to this hotel.

We spent three nights in room 303 at Sublimis. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and for ocean and dockside views, this hotel is hard to beat. It’s right on the beach promenade, with direct access to the beach, and just a four minute walk from the train station. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a walk-in closet that made unpacking and packing easy. Air conditioning worked well, and breakfast was delicious. Street noise does come through, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. The hospitality staff were the real stars and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Special thanks to mixologist Veronica for making us such delicious cocktails. We can’t wait to come back!

The view really is stunning, but everything else was a mess. I’d found the place while looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday and was excited about the prospect. I called ahead to book a table and ask for details, but what I was told was wrong, and I was left confused when we arrived. I’d been told there’d be a buffet with two dishes included. Instead, they said there’d been a misunderstanding and that only a hot drink was included, though they could make an omelet if we wanted. We came for lunch to celebrate and hoped to enjoy a good bottle, but the manager showed no interest in clearing things up or making it right, despite knowing it was a birthday. That put us off staying, so we left and found plenty of good places nearby. I can see why the place seems so empty and has so few reviews. They seem to prioritize the hotel, rather than the bar or restaurant. Such a disappointment.

The views from the hotel are wonderful, and I loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the terrace. It’s right on the beach in the pedestrian zone, with nice restaurants nearby and the train station only a 2-3 minute walk away. Breakfast was fantastic, and my room was clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Every email got a kind, prompt reply, and the people I interacted with during my stay were just as thoughtful and efficient. Special thanks to Halima, who checked me in and out and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. I absolutely adored this hotel and the little town of Camogli.
