B&B Virò

Golden car veglie

I booked the whole Campi and Squinzano complex for wedding guests, since it was my wedding. The property itself is attractive and well kept, but the service was awful. Roughly a month before the date, they called to say they'd forgotten about an annual booking and asked me to move some guests from Squinzano to Campi. We agreed after being told the bathroom was beside the bedroom. The morning after the wedding, we found the groomsmen had been put on camp beds, with the bathroom in the kitchen, nowhere near their bedroom. They had to cross the kitchen in their pajamas while other guests were eating breakfast. It was deeply embarrassing. The owner also kept calling the day before, wanting arrival times for guests coming from all over Italy, which we couldn't possibly know. A little humility would have helped a lot. And yes, before you respond rudely, we asked for a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates for the guests, paid for and brought them, but the witnesses found nothing. I strongly advise against staying here.

The place is peaceful, and cleanliness and courtesy are clearly priorities here. I loved the beautiful vaulted ceilings, which keep the well cared for rooms cool and airy. Everything has been furnished with taste and real attention to detail. A refined, lovely B&B. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone.

We ended up finding better accommodation, but the trouble caused by this was considerable. The owner was rude and very touchy: first he threatened to cancel our reservation over a suggestion about room cleanliness, then canceled it after hearing we'd arrive late. He said he'd wasted his time coming from Squinzano and was glad to lose customers like us, people he didn't even know. I strongly advise against dealing with them.
