Hotel Gran Paradis

We had a loft junior suite with everything we needed, and the room was wonderful. If you’re a sensitive sleeper, the loft walls can be a little thin. We used a white noise machine and had no issues. The wellness area is perfect, and the dinners blew us away every night. Everyone was very friendly, and the service was exceptional. Gran Paradis is in a perfect location, an easy walk into Campitello Di Fassa, and the shuttle to the gondola was a nice service.

When we arrived, Ingrid greeted us. She was very nice, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. We were also impressed by the attentive service: everything and everyone was clean, prompt, and pleasant. Eleonora and Emanuel looked after us most of the time, and I’d especially like to thank them. The rooms were a bit too small for my comfort, but we didn’t spend much time in ours, so it was fine. The cleaning ladies do a really great job. The fitness, spa, and wellness areas were great too. The gym had everything I needed for a workout. There are indoor and outdoor pools, though I mostly spent time in the saunas and relaxation area. They provide fresh, very crisp apples and tasty lemon water. There are several massages to choose from, and the lymphatic drainage massage was so relaxing I fell asleep 😅. The hotel is close to the gondola, about five minutes by car. They also run a minivan in the morning and afternoon to take guests there and back. You can drive and park there yourself, but it costs 12 euros, which I didn’t think was worth it. There are so many good things to say about the food and service. The meals were great in terms of options, flavor, texture, and plating. Breakfast had bresaola, which might not seem like a big deal, but it was a real plus for someone like me who doesn’t eat pork. You can also make fresh juice with your choice of fruits and vegetables. At dinner, we could order a cheese platter, and it was DELISH, served with a sweet-spicy sauce that also had horseradish.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with distinctive dishes and a menu that changes each evening. You’ll want to book ahead. I spent four days here using the hotel as a base to explore the lovely area, and the place was beautiful and spotless. What stayed with me most was how attentive and kind everyone was. They made us feel personally cared for. I’ll definitely come back.

We loved the spa, especially the good-sized pool and the outdoor jacuzzi looking out at the mountains, along with the saunas. The hotel is a family-run place with a warm, friendly team, comfortable but fairly small rooms, and lifts, a lounge, bar, and ski room with boot warmers. Breakfast and dinner were included, and the food was very good. It’s close to the ski area, with a free shuttle to the gondola, and near a charming little town with good shops. We stayed a week and didn’t want to leave. Grateful to our hosts for a memorable Dolomites holiday.
