Hotel Medil

I only visited for the spa and a massage, rather than staying at the hotel. Everything was AMAZING, and the spa is the best around, with a very reasonable price after a day skiing. Federica gave me a fantastic massage, she’s clearly an expert and as nice as you could hope for. I’ll stay at the hotel next time!

The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent, and our room was a good size and comfortable. The shower felt a bit cramped. What really made the week was the ski guiding. Stefano is a great guide. Over four days, he took us around the Sella Ronda and to several other ski areas, choosing the best place each day for the weather. The downsides were the really poor WiFi and a spa that’s too small for the number of guests. We’d very happily return.

For me, the free daily ski tour was one of the best things about the hotel. Stefano led it brilliantly. He knows the area, takes safety seriously, and makes the outings fun. Experienced skiers and snowboarders can explore with others at a similar level. The hotel is a cosy base for discovering the Dolomites, near town and about a five-minute walk from Col Rodella cable car, with routes such as Sellaronda accessible from the top. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Half board was good: breakfast had plenty of choice, and dinner came in three courses. The local specialties and recommended dishes were delicious, though some other choices were hit and miss. Service at dinner felt rushed each day. The wine list is extensive, and Antonio at the bar was excellent and friendly. There’s a spa and sauna, but they’re small and crowded in the late afternoon and evening.

We’d gladly stay at Hotel Medil again. Bruno at reception was warm, professional, and always ready to help, and Antonio at the bar was a legend, upbeat and welcoming with 10/10 service. The bar gives the hotel a lovely feel at night: people gather for drinks or a bite, play cards, or relax with a laptop. We tried the bar pizza and were surprised by how good it was, among the best we had on the trip, and under €10 per person. There’s also a full dinner buffet in the dining room, which we didn’t try, though it looked busy every night. In January 2026 it was around €40 per person. The location is hard to beat for Sella Ronda and the Dolomiti Superski area, though I’d recommend the hotel even to people who aren’t skiing. Col Rodella, one of the newest and best lifts, is an easy walk. It was inaugurated in 2026, and even in January there were basically no lines. You can walk to a supermarket and to Campitello di Fassa restaurants and cafés, and there’s a large parking area. The ski room was the best of our trip: spotless, roomy, and very convenient, with up-to-date technology, a bench and table for servicing skis, full bathrooms, and fresh towels right there. Our room was warm, cosy, spacious, and well maintained, with wonderful views. Breakfast was abundant and had lots of variety, just right before skiing or hiking.
