The private property is unnecessarily huge and blocks one side of the route to the lighthouse. There's no warning beforehand, so you only find out when you hit the dead end and have to walk back down the whole hill.

The kids were thrilled to see the donkeys and goats, and the setting among the olive trees was lovely. It’s peaceful and surrounded by nature, with an amazing view, but the sea is only steps away and Marina di Campo is nearby. We had a wonderful family stay. There’s plenty to do, from jogging to canoeing, SUP, and pedal boats. Stefano was kind, polite, and always on hand. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Villa Fornace, number 3, and it was a real gem. It’s tucked away in wild nature with a view of the bay, and there’s lots of space inside and every comfort. Stefano was attentive and quick to help whenever anything came up. The road there is admittedly tricky, but manageable if you take care. We got up it just fine in our large car.

Il Nido dell'Aquila has a magnificent view, and the location is undeniably special despite the difficult access. But the appliances were old and rusty, the air conditioning didn't work, and the house averaged 32 degrees Celsius. The fridge was broken too, so we had to throw out milk, juice, and fresh food, which is especially important to have given the inconvenient location. I told Stefano, the manager, but he kept brushing it aside. That was what irritated me most. Since everything went bad overnight, even providing breakfast would have helped. Denying what was plainly wrong is the worst response. If it costs 80 euros a night at a campsite, that's unacceptable here at 500 euros a night. How can so much potential be wasted?
