Appartamenti Maricampo

The pool and outdoor area were beautiful, but the apartment was dirty, with a smell of smoke and mold in the closets. The bathroom was covered in limescale, and there wasn’t even a roll of toilet paper. We had to wait at reception. It was a bad experience, so we left.

A terrible experience. After a ten-hour drive through traffic, a delayed ferry, and three children in the car, we reached the agency and were led by a nice man on a scooter. He left us at the entrance to the restricted traffic zone with an embarrassingly hand-drawn map to find the apartment. Since it was our first time in Marina di Campo, we couldn’t locate it right away. While searching, we left through the wrong gate because we didn’t know we had to use the same one to enter and exit. The same mistake happened again several days later, thanks to the agency’s poor, almost nonexistent explanations. Now we’ll be going back to Bergamo and waiting for the reports to arrive one after another. I’ll make them as visible as I can. Thanks, everyone, and never again.

The apartment was roomy enough for our family with two children, well maintained, and had a really lovely large terrace. Covered parking was convenient, too. The residence has tidy outdoor spaces, a lovely pool, and helpful staff, all in a quiet spot a short walk from the town center and beach. The furnishings are a little dated, but the value for money is excellent.

The property’s exterior is reasonably well kept, but the rooms need a lot of work. There was bird droppings all over the filthy terrace, encrusted bathroom fixtures, and a narrow shower whose door didn’t work properly. The dusty blankets were so bad we had to throw them out onto the terrace. The location is okay, though not great, and linens aren’t included in the price. I wouldn’t recommend it.
