Hotel Barcarola 2

The property is comfortable and good quality, which makes the setup a shame. I met the owner and found him very kind and caring, but from what I could tell, he has delegated a lot. At least in winter, the place runs on an automated system and there are no staff apart from the mornings. That setup doesn't bother me by itself, but the woman you're meant to call or text in an emergency isn't reliably available enough.

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel from July 26th to August 1st. The family room was roomy, carefully cleaned, and kept tidy, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated all the facilities: free bike hire for a few hours, a pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, and a gym. Leonardo from the entertainment team deserves a special mention. He was talented, kind, and great at getting the children involved. My son loved him! The hotel is in a great spot, close to the center of Marina di Campo and just steps from the sea. My one small suggestion would be to add more to breakfast, especially savory choices. Otherwise, a perfect holiday! 🌞

The rooms and hotel feel warm and comfortable. We tried breakfast at their bakery, and it was delicious. Great value for money!

Barcarola 2 was in a quiet spot, just steps from Marina di Campo beach. We stayed during the week of August 15th. The free indoor parking was handy, and so was the pastry shop, although there wasn't much breakfast choice at 9:00. Our standard room had a small balcony and a bathroom with no window. When I did the self check-in, I asked for a double bed, but found two singles pushed together instead. Noise was the main problem. We were on the first floor, and by 8:00 in the morning we could hear a lot from the bar, pastry shop, and cleaning staff, making it hard to sleep. It was a good stay overall, but the soundproofing could be better.
