Villa Aiali

The rabbits wandering across the grass from evening until morning were a lovely touch, and the whole place is wonderfully relaxing. We stayed in an apartment in one of the two villas, with a large fenced garden, park and vegetable garden, reserved areas, a barbecue, and bikes to use. It’s a little over a kilometer from Marina di Campo’s center. The owners are around but discreet, the apartment has everything needed, and there’s shaded parking. I’d happily come back. It’s as beautiful as the Island of Elba.

The outdoor grill was a real bonus, and there are bikes and private parking too. It’s a well-kept villa surrounded by greenery, with what you need for a quiet holiday. The bedrooms are bright and spacious with big closets, and the kitchen is fully equipped.

The apartment was clean, but much of the kitchen and bathroom was incomplete. The location and garden weren’t as advertised: there was no sea view, the terrace could only be used by the owner, the apartment was very noisy, and the garden was cluttered. The supplied bikes were unusable, broken, rusty, and worn from the weather. One had a broken brake and was left in the basket. Unacceptable. A lot needs to be improved here. The price for what we got was completely unacceptable, and it ruined our holiday.

We’ve only just got back, and we already miss the calm of that beautiful place. The owners deserve credit for being attentive to details, helpful, courteous, and friendly. We’ll be back next summer!
