We specifically checked whether the restaurant served people who weren’t staying at the hotel, and were told that it did. But once we’d sat down, they said they wouldn’t serve us. That was confusing and unprofessional. Please get this straight.

The food and service were flawless throughout our stay. Breakfast had everything you could want, and each of the five dinners we tried was exceptional. The staff’s service was immaculate, on a level with, or even above, some of the world’s top hotel groups. Honestly, this place deserves every award. Thanks for making our short stay so memorable. My mother and I booked a last-minute seven-night deal at Hotel Alte Muehle for the price of six. It was very reasonably priced and included breakfast and dinner. The property is well maintained and has been updated over the years with the usual modern comforts. The spa has two relaxing areas, an indoor pool, several saunas including a Finnish one, and the best two steam rooms I’ve ever used. The therapist knows many treatments and massage techniques. Old photos of the landscape, the family, and climbers who’ve visited the area decorate the shared spaces. The main lounge has a cozy fireplace, lots of seating, and the best-stocked bar outside Milan. This place captures the feel of southern Tyrol and makes you want to return. The area is known for hiking, cross-country trails, and two world-class downhill ski areas. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, some free and some run by the town, so there’s always something to do.
