The service and food were good, but the rooms and hygiene made the stay really disappointing. The rooms are very small, have no telephones, and there’s no ventilation or AC. At night they get so hot that you wake up sweating. Flies were a huge problem throughout the hotel. I’ve never seen so many around the breakfast food, over the tables at breakfast and dinner, and even in the bedrooms. One night we had literally 25 flies in our room and spent the night trying to kill them so we could get some sleep. During most meals I had to hold my fork in one hand and swat flies away from my food and the table with the other. Good service doesn’t make up for hygiene this poor. I don’t recommend the hotel.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Bacher twice this year, and enjoyed both visits. The location is ideal for cross-country skiing, with the track right beside the hotel and ski storage in the basement. We’ll be back and are already looking forward to another stay at the Bacher house. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice at both the delicious breakfast buffet and the evening buffet. Service in the dining room and from housekeeping was impeccable, and everyone was friendly and made us feel well looked after. The pool and sauna are well kept and a lovely place to unwind. The whole hotel feels warm and cozy, with thoughtful decorations by Mrs. Bacher throughout. Our room was well maintained and cozy, with very comfortable mattresses and pillows. Some of the bathrooms could be a little bigger, but that didn’t take away from our holiday.

For 11 years now, this has been our winter home, and it suits us perfectly. The rooms and service are great, and it’s excellent value for money. We use the fantastic sauna every day. The ski season is wonderful for both cross-country and downhill skiing. We’ll definitely return ❤️

We’ve spent short holidays in a lot of hotels, and this is one of the best. The owners are friendly, the atmosphere and amenities are lovely, and the whole place is clean. The beautiful natural surroundings make it even better. We definitely recommend it!
