Marco and his family made us feel so welcome, and were lovely to Gigi. Frederica and her husband also invited us for delicious Aperols. We found this hotel by sheer luck during the summer, in a beautiful, secluded spot that usually seems to be visited by locals. The family hosts are wonderful, very accommodating, love dogs, and cook delicious food. Their neighbors were amazingly friendly too. I can't recommend the place enough.

For a ski holiday, the location is hard to beat, close to the lifts. The rooms are cozy, and the Italian food is the best. I'd suggest taking the all inclusive option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thank you, Marco.

The staff are so sweet and helpful, and the hotel sits right at the foot of the Motta ski lifts. If the sun comes out when the ski day ends, there’s no better spot to enjoy apres ski.

We came without a reservation, and they set up a table for us right away. The order came without delay, and everything was delicious. The polenta is a must, I was too hungry to take a photo before finishing it! I also tried the bis Pizzoccheri, mamamia che buono!!! The place is pet friendly, the staff are amazing and so friendly, and the food is super good. I highly recommend it.

The Gianera family have welcomed me warmly since I was a child. It’s a cozy one star hotel right by the 40 interconnected slopes of Alpe Motta and Madesimo-Val di Lei, and works well for families with kids or couples 18-on. The restaurant serves good Valtellina catches and wines. It’s also a good choice in summer for Nordic w.
