Hotel Tambò

We came here unexpectedly in May and had an unforgettable time. The owners are great people, and after a long hike, a steak and a very good breakfast were just what we needed. The mountains are beautiful, and it was quiet with no road noise, just birdsong and the feeling that the mountains were calling us out to explore. We found two stunning hiking trails with nobody on them. Grazie mille per questi giorni magici!

We came back to this lovely family run albergo after several years, and it was just as comfortable as we remembered. The rooms are warm and very clean, with larger options for groups of four or five. The location is right on the piste. Breakfast has everything you could want, including fresh croissants, coffee, bread and jam, with eggs made to order. On a sunny day you can have lunch on the terrace, choosing from bar menu options like panini, hot dogs and salads. Dinner is high quality too. The menu is short, but the food is tasty, well cooked, and based on local produce and traditional dishes such as Pizzocheri della Valtellina. For the accommodation, food and location, the price is reasonable. I’d highly recommend a stay and we’ll be back! Famiglia Tess.

The rooms were clean and a good size, with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The hosts are extremely nice, and you can feel the family business touch. We got to put our motorbikes in the garage when it rained overnight. The food was amazing, with local pasta and a really big, tasty breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be coming back.

In winter you’re right by a ski slope, and for this price that feels unbelievable. It’s a small ski area, but so nice. The family run hotel has very good rooms and lovely Italian food.
